Natura Siberica is a brand that has featured on my blog multiple times, mostly because I am drawn to their products that contain unusual ingredients sourced from unique and largely unblemished parts of Siberia and Russia. Although you can find a product for literally any aspect of your beauty routine under the Natura Siberica brand umbrella (they have 12 different collections!), their body products are what pull me in time and time again. After being an admirer of the brand for so long, I am so honoured and excited to be a part of their NS Crew program, so this post will help me in my initiation by talking about three of my most favourite Natura Siberica products that keep my body in top shape all year round. At the end of the post, you may just find special offer you can take advantage of too – so keep on reading!
Cleansing my face is one of my favourite times of the day. There is nothing like ridding your face of daily pollution, dirt and impurities at the end of a long day and it’s one of my top rituals in my beauty routine. True to my nature, I like to experiment with skincare, especially with cleansers. I love discovering new formulations and ingredients, and cleansers that come in a different form or have different ingredients to the usual cleanser we are all familiar with. Through my experimentation, I’ve been using some products that either made me scratch my head a little before using, or have a list of ingredients that I found unique and interesting. This post will explore four ‘cleansers’ that give a modern approach to cleaning our skin.
Unlike my other posts, this one is not going to be so glamorous. As we all know, beauty isn’t just about a flawless complexion, blended eyeshadow and winged eyeliner sharp enough to cut a biatch. Sometimes, beauty is about those things which are in our minds, not so beautiful. We all fight battles with conditions that can lead us to think our imperfections are not ‘beautiful, and that these don’t deserve to be talked about and shown off on our blogs. Truth is, I want to talk about these things because I feel like these battles and imperfections are what make us relatable. We can learn a lot from other people experiencing similar issues, and we can seek comfort in the fact that we aren’t alone. So I want to talk about a condition that plagued me in my teenage years, and to a certain extent even today. It’s not pretty, it’s not glamorous, and it’s not pleasant. I want to talk about sweat.
The concept of ‘sleeping masks’ or overnight masks are a relatively new trend born from Korean skincare that has really surged in popularity. But the idea of leaving a face mask on your skin overnight while sleeping can make some people scratch their heads. So in this post I’ll detail the reasoning behind the sleeping mask trend before giving you some options should you wish to invest in one.
To many, mineral makeup is more than just a beauty fad. It can be seen as an extension to a skincare routine, based on the perceived benefits of it being healthier for our skin than traditional makeup. Although it’s a relatively recent beauty trend, mineral makeup has been used for thousands of years, its use dating back to ancient cultures like the Egyptians (think Cleopatra eyes).
But what makes mineral makeup so different to the traditional forms of makeup, and more importantly, what makes it BETTER in the eyes of many consumers?
Welcome back beauties!
Girlactik has always been one of those US brands I’ve been dying to try, yet are really hard to come by in Australia. Well, things are about to get a whole lot of easier. Introducing one of the latest new cosmetics retailers to hit Aussie shores, The Beauty Drawers. I was incredibly flattered to be selected as a brand ambassador for The Beauty Drawers, who will be making it more accessible to find some hard-to-aquire brands in Australia like Pixi Beauty, Viseart, Ere Perez, Girlactik, Milani Cosmetics, and so many more.
If you’re anything of a skincare junkie like me, you’ll have seen the term ‘Vitamin C’ floating around. Initially heralding as one of the most important vitamins in our diet, the skincare industry has really taken advantage of the powerful properties of this vitamin to produce topical treatments for healthy, youthful-looking skin. So, I’ve partnered with Adore Beauty in this post to describe some of the benefits of Vitamin C, and was able to knuckle down into my favourite Vit C recommendations for you to try.
Welcome back beauties!
This post is the next long-awaited instalment of my product empties series, where I chat about products I’ve used up and give a short verdict for if I’ll repurchase or not. I’ve chosen to do these posts quarterly, because I am naturally horrendous at committing to emptying products I’ve opened and monthly posts wouldn’t be interesting with one or two empties…
Welcome back beauties!
Since the hair straightening brush revolution started there has been so many new companies gracing us with their own version of this hybrid device. The number of hair straightening brushes currently on the market is enough to leave most consumers confused as to which one they should purchase. Two of these brushes include the Hairstyla, which I have actually reviewed in a previous post here, and the LVL hair straightening brush* which is a new product that has hit my desk! In this post, I’ll give you a comparison between the two to help you decide which one you should try out for yourself if you’re on the lookout for one.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) seems to be one of the ‘gold-standard’ ingredients in skincare. We all know that HA is meant to be great for adding hydration to our skin, but do we all know why and how, or even how to use it properly? You’d be surprised how many don’t, and I have to admit that before this, I was one of them. You may even encounter some people who will go so far as to say, ‘Acid? I’m not putting acid on my face!’ But you know, I don’t blame them! HA is just one of those buzzwords that gets thrown around everywhere without a proper explanation of what it is or how it works.
