Natura Siberica is a brand that has featured on my blog multiple times, mostly because I am drawn to their products that contain unusual ingredients sourced from unique and largely unblemished parts of Siberia and Russia. Although you can find a product for literally any aspect of your beauty routine under the Natura Siberica brand umbrella (they have 12 different collections!), their body products are what pull me in time and time again. After being an admirer of the brand for so long, I am so honoured and excited to be a part of their NS Crew program, so this post will help me in my initiation by talking about three of my most favourite Natura Siberica products that keep my body in top shape all year round. At the end of the post, you may just find special offer you can take advantage of too – so keep on reading!
Cleansing my face is one of my favourite times of the day. There is nothing like ridding your face of daily pollution, dirt and impurities at the end of a long day and it’s one of my top rituals in my beauty routine. True to my nature, I like to experiment with skincare, especially with cleansers. I love discovering new formulations and ingredients, and cleansers that come in a different form or have different ingredients to the usual cleanser we are all familiar with. Through my experimentation, I’ve been using some products that either made me scratch my head a little before using, or have a list of ingredients that I found unique and interesting. This post will explore four ‘cleansers’ that give a modern approach to cleaning our skin.
It’s time for another LUSH Cosmetics limited edition range, and this time we welcome the LUSH Father’s Day collection. I thought it would be insightful to get a realistic view and opinion of the range so that if you’re thinking of purchasing something for your father you can be more confident in your choices (and so you can stop asking your Mum for gift inspiration). I enjoy bringing my family into the mix here on The Beauty & the Geek. My partner Sam has been a guest reviewer on my blog before (read his ideas on the men’s Bellobox here), but it’s time for me to introduce my Dad to the blogosphere. I’ve asked him to trial and review the LUSH Father’s Day range, a challenge he graciously (and very surprisingly) accepted.
Winter is a time when my whole beauty routine goes slightly out of whack. I feel like it’s a period of time where the number of products increase, the number of steps in my routines increase, the amount of time I dedicate to maintaining my skin increases, yet still the overall health of my skin deteriorates. I know I’m not alone here, it’s a big struggle for everyone in these harsh climatic environments. Crafted from the best that Mother Nature has to offer, Embalm Skincare is filled with many Winter beauty essentials with ingredients I love to help you preserve your luscious, smooth and hydrated skin that you said goodbye to with the closing of Summer.
As a content creator, I regularly come across a heap of new products to try. While I enjoy trying as much as I can to increase my knowledge base, there is only a handful of these products that remain in the top of my favourites list and ones I continually go back to, mostly because I’m kinda fussy. If you stay up to date with my Instagram, you’d know that I had no hesitation repeatedly sharing my obsession for the new CLARINS Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Tangerine that I received at a recent MAXCONNECTORS event. From this, I’ve been given the opportunity to try the other new shades in the Lip Comfort Oils range, and I feel compelled out of my obsession to share with you my thoughts on range.
The concept of ‘sleeping masks’ or overnight masks are a relatively new trend born from Korean skincare that has really surged in popularity. But the idea of leaving a face mask on your skin overnight while sleeping can make some people scratch their heads. So in this post I’ll detail the reasoning behind the sleeping mask trend before giving you some options should you wish to invest in one.
To many, mineral makeup is more than just a beauty fad. It can be seen as an extension to a skincare routine, based on the perceived benefits of it being healthier for our skin than traditional makeup. Although it’s a relatively recent beauty trend, mineral makeup has been used for thousands of years, its use dating back to ancient cultures like the Egyptians (think Cleopatra eyes).
But what makes mineral makeup so different to the traditional forms of makeup, and more importantly, what makes it BETTER in the eyes of many consumers?
