If you didn’t already know that Youngblood Cosmetics is one of my favourite makeup brands, I’ll come right out and say it. Youngblood Cosmetics is one of my favourite makeup brands. I first fell in love with them years back after trying their base products in a salon with my Mum, and we’ve both been hooked since. In fact, their mineral powders are one of the few mineral foundation powders I can use without getting irritated (think itchy skin). Youngblood already have an extensive repertoire of cosmetic products, from foundations to eyeshadows, highlighters and lipsticks. Recently, they have expanded their collection by releasing an exciting range of retractable matte lip crayons in seven shades: The Colour Crays Matte Lip Crayons. In this post I’ll go over the range, and we get up close and personal with a little Swatchfest for you all.
As a content creator, I regularly come across a heap of new products to try. While I enjoy trying as much as I can to increase my knowledge base, there is only a handful of these products that remain in the top of my favourites list and ones I continually go back to, mostly because I’m kinda fussy. If you stay up to date with my Instagram, you’d know that I had no hesitation repeatedly sharing my obsession for the new CLARINS Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Tangerine that I received at a recent MAXCONNECTORS event. From this, I’ve been given the opportunity to try the other new shades in the Lip Comfort Oils range, and I feel compelled out of my obsession to share with you my thoughts on range.
To many, mineral makeup is more than just a beauty fad. It can be seen as an extension to a skincare routine, based on the perceived benefits of it being healthier for our skin than traditional makeup. Although it’s a relatively recent beauty trend, mineral makeup has been used for thousands of years, its use dating back to ancient cultures like the Egyptians (think Cleopatra eyes).
But what makes mineral makeup so different to the traditional forms of makeup, and more importantly, what makes it BETTER in the eyes of many consumers?
Welcome back beauties!
Girlactik has always been one of those US brands I’ve been dying to try, yet are really hard to come by in Australia. Well, things are about to get a whole lot of easier. Introducing one of the latest new cosmetics retailers to hit Aussie shores, The Beauty Drawers. I was incredibly flattered to be selected as a brand ambassador for The Beauty Drawers, who will be making it more accessible to find some hard-to-aquire brands in Australia like Pixi Beauty, Viseart, Ere Perez, Girlactik, Milani Cosmetics, and so many more.
Welcome back beauties!
Ever since I received my first Karen Murrell lipstick in a Bellabox a few years ago, I’ve been continuously adding to my collection and I think it’s about time I mention the range on my blog.
Welcome back beauties!
This post is the next long-awaited instalment of my product empties series, where I chat about products I’ve used up and give a short verdict for if I’ll repurchase or not. I’ve chosen to do these posts quarterly, because I am naturally horrendous at committing to emptying products I’ve opened and monthly posts wouldn’t be interesting with one or two empties…
Colour correcting is the technique of using coloured concealers to neutralise complexion issues such as redness, dark under eye circles and dull skin. It’s based on the colour theory that opposite colours on the colour wheel cancel out each other and are neutralised.
The original L’Oreal Infallible has become somewhat of a cult classic drugstore foundation all over the world. So when L’Oreal revealed it would be bringing the next version of their Infallible range to Australia, many were anticipating the range to be one of the best drugstore new releases in Australia. With the Infallible Pro Glow only just being released in Australia (yet so popular overseas), we have now had the pleasure of experiencing the Total Cover range in our stores for quite a while now while we waited!
Ladies, and most particularly Gentlemen,

I’m slowly becoming more and more of a lip product junkie every day, so when I received a gorgeous package of the Luminous Lipsticks* from SASH Cosmetics Australia, I was so keen to dive in and try them out. You all know I’m fairly passionate at finding Australian cosmetic companies who deliver on quality and price!
SASH Cosmetics is a brand spanking new Australian Cosmetics company, their first release being their range of Luminous Lipsticks. Their mission statement is to basically eliminate the hardships of finding high quality yet affordable cosmetics in Australia. Their lipsticks claim to be of a superior quality yet retail for only $16.95. They have 12 shades in their range, from nudes to mauves, deep reds and browns. They are paraben free, and cruelty-free, using only candelilla wax and microcrystalline wax. Perfect considering more and more people these days are making the switch to cruelty-free cosmetics.
