I’ve been against shaving for as long as I can remember, purely because I did not want my leg hairs to grow back progressively thicker and darker over time. Of course, I have never completely avoided shaving (because let’s face it it’s definitely the most convenient form of hair removal)- but it’s generally my last resort and I usually put it off for a very long time (sorry boyfriend). I have myself to thank for the state of my current leg hairs – they are thin, light in colour and there is generally quite a good amount of time before my hairs grow back. There is no ‘secret’ behind this – but I will say it’s most probably due to the fact my most preferred method of removing hair is either waxing or epilating and has been for a long time (and if I’m honest I’d almost kill for laser!).
Generally, I’m pretty horrible with committing to finishing products I’ve opened, because I get too excited about things I buy or receive that I just want to open up and try everything I own! However recently, I’ve really challenged myself to completely use up products I have opened, and to only open another product when I need to. Of course, this isn’t true for EVERYTHING. It’s pretty much impossible to only use up one product in category, and being a beauty blogger I do receive quite a few products for editorial consideration so I have a responsibility to open and use up products to create my content – but I’m trying to as best I can. It’s what people called ‘shopping your stash’ or ‘shopping your beauty cupboard’. It’s money saving – because you don’t throw out products that go old because you don’t use them up – and it’s also a more economical way to live.
So it was that exciting time of the year again on Beauty Heaven, the Beautorium was here! The excitement of placing my order and then playing the waiting game has ended, because I’ve just received my order!
After being exposed to a number of new brands at the Bloggers United AU event (read up on my recap here ). I was blown away by a relatively small eco-glamour cosmetics and tanning company, ‘Vani-T’. Their presentation was fantastic, and they demonstrated their products well. Their products ranged from makeup brushes (absolutely stunning by the way), to cosmetics, to all things tanning (including preparation and aftercare). Vani-T pride themselves on delivering what they call ‘eco-glamour’: their company is a fusion of ethics, luxury and performance. Their products are housed within absolutely stunning recyclable packaging, they are rich in natural and organic ingredients, they DO NOT conduct animal testing, and they do not contain talc, bismuth or clay.
